The recognition of the Business Merit ‘Julio Villazón Baquero’ is an institutional stimulus granted by the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce, since December 2011, with the support of friendly entities and business associations.
It consists of a public recognition of those who, with their exemplary business career, serve as inspiration to promising young entrepreneurs in the Department of Cesar and the City of Valledupar.
With this activity, the aim is to highlight and encourage the importance of innovating, generating organizational changes and establishing competitive strategies that stimulate the productive and commercial transformation in our region.
Publicly recognizes and grants the highest distinction “Julio Villazón Baquero” to those companies and entrepreneurs who have stood out for their leadership and excellence in management, in our jurisdiction and the Department of Cesar in general, and to characters who are native to the region who stand out at the regional, national or international level.
Winning companies are presented with an award or recognition plaque and a certification issued by the board of directors. Additionally, they will have the support of the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce through consultancies and training to improve the entity’s productive performance and sustainability over time.
The Winner of the “Entrepreneur of the Year” category will be nominated and sponsored by the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce for a regional, national or international business award.
